From April 25 to 27, 2019, the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing. During the forum, Mr Cerry Tung, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited, was invited to participate in a series of international economic and trade conferences.

At the roundtable meeting with Chinese corporate leaders attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir, Mr Tung made a wonderful speech as a representative of large Chinese enterprises investing in Malaysia. Prime Minister Mahathir expressed his high appreciation to the speech and also Xinyi Group investment's contribution to local economic development and employment in Malaysia.

Mr Tung was then invited to attend the dialogue meeting between Egyptian President al-Sisi and Chinese entrepreneurs. At the meeting, as the representative of China's outstanding enterprises, Mr Tung introduced the development of Xinyi Group, and President al-Sisi expressed his hope to cooperate with Xinyi Group in all aspects. After the meeting, Mr Tung had further talks with Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister of Transportation and Chairman of the Suez Economic Zone, and also attended the China-Indonesia Enterprise Cooperation Forum.

In recent years, Xinyi Group has actively promoted the globalization of its business and is committed to improving its global strategic layout, grasping international business opportunities, and conducting in-depth communication with countries including the Belt and Road countries, and has received positive responses from government officials and business leaders globally. During the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, the meetings and dialogues between Mr Cerry Tung and a number of heads of foreign government and ministerial officials marked another important step for the globalization of Xinyi Group.
