Xinyi Group’s volunteers actively participate in the “Community Chest Dress Casual Day” to support public welfare
The Community Chest “Dress Casual Day” celebrates its 30 th anniversary this year embracing the theme of “Wear Your Moment”. It took place on 30 October calling on the public to donate for underserved communities and promote a culture of caring for one another anytime, anywhere. Actively responding to the fundraising activity, members of the Xinyi Group volunteer team put on casual outfits, performed a good deed together and showed their appreciation of every small happiness in life. Their act of benevolence also helped spread love and expressed care for the society.
Dr LEE Yin Yee, Chairman of Xinyi Glass and Xinyi Solar (S.B.S, B.B.S, M.H.), said, “ ‘No good deeds are too small’, thus we encourage colleagues to participate in charitable activities anytime, anywhere like the ‘Dress Casual Day’. The Group has been committed to promoting various charitable community activities, hoping to motivate colleagues to get involved in community well-being endeavors, and contribute to charitable causes with action, giving support and care to those in need. Looking ahead, we will continue to give back to society and, as a member of the local community, wholeheartedly join charitable social activities.”
Dress Casual Day has developed to become a flagship fundraising event of the Community Chest since its inception in 1993. This year, the Chest is also collaborating with the Hong Kong Police Force’s Child Protection Campaign to enhance public awareness on child protection. All donations raised through Dress Casual Day 2023, without deduction of administrative costs, will be designated to support "Child Protection and Welfare Services" provided by the Chest’s member agencies to offer assistance to neglected children, and to raise public awareness towards prevention of child abuse for the healthy and holistic development of our next generation.
